Assessment, Advice and Treatment
Our NHS Skin Condition Service provides convenient access to assessment and treatment for a range of common skin conditions, including eczema, impetigo and infected fingers. During your consultation, our pharmacist will discuss your symptoms, assess your condition and recommend the most appropriate course of action.
Where appropriate, treatment can be provided during the same visit, helping you get the care you need without waiting for a GP appointment. If your symptoms require further investigation or specialist care, we'll explain the next steps and, if necessary, refer you to another healthcare professional.

Eczema
Eczema is a condition that causes the skin to become itchy, red, dry and cracked. It is a long-term (chronic) condition in most people, although it can improve over time, especially in children. Our experienced pharmacists can help you with eczema.

Impetigo
Impetigo is a skin infection that's very contagious but not usually serious. It often gets better in 7 to 10 days if you get treatment. Anyone can get it, but it's very common in young children. Why not use our pharmacy first service within our pharmacy to quickly help with Impetigo.

Nail Infection (Paronychia)
Paronychia is a common infection affecting the skin around the nail, often caused by bacteria entering through a small cut, hangnail, or broken skin. If your nail area is red, swollen, warm, or tender, our pharmacist can assess the infection and provide NHS‑funded treatment where appropriate. We’ll also advise you on how to care for the area at home and help prevent future infections. If the symptoms suggest a more serious problem, we’ll ensure you’re referred to the right healthcare service.
